Lydia Mendelssohn Theater
The New Verismo Series
This June Arbor Opera Theater is co-producing a festival with several other arts organizations from Southeast Michigan. Come journey with us as we explore the depths of human existence and the cost of shame and stigma. The festival will include various types of musical and theatrical performances, along with lectures and activities that will allow audience and artist alike to go deeper into the meaning behind all great art.
AOT will offer Suor Angelica, one of three operas from Puccini's Il trittico. Fully staged and accompanied by full orchestra, this is a special work that has touched hearts since it's premiere at the Metropolitan Opera in 1918.
March 1-4, 2018
