Ed Pember has enjoyed a diverse and rewarding singing career. As soloist for the United States Air Force, Pember sang for many heads of state and other dignitaries throughout the US, Europe and North Africa during his military career. Other career highlights include working as a voice-over artist, as well as live performances for several major networks and syndicated radio programs both in Europe and in the United States.
Upon completion of his military service, Ed returned to Michigan where he set about raising his three sons; at this time, he began performing primarily oratorio with many local organizations, including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theatre, Rackham Symphony Chorale, Brazeal Dennard Chorale, Warren Symphony and many others.
As soloist at Christ Church Grosse Point, Pember will be touring Europe this summer, performing in venues in Paris, Florence and Rome, (including a performance at St. Peter's Basilica).
Ed caught the “opera bug” just 18 months ago and is very happy to be making his operatic debut as Enrico with Arbor Opera Theater. He studies with Nada Radakovich at the Flint Institute of Music.
