Karin White recently portrayed Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus with the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera under the artistic direction of Lucine Amara and for the Arbor Opera Theater under the stage direction of Bodo Igesz. This past fall, she performed the role of Anna in The Charlatan and can be heard singing this role on the world premier recording with The Comic Opera Guild. Other recent roles include Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Violetta in La Traviata, Cio- Cio San in Madama Butterfly and Mimi in La Bohème. Concert appearances include performances with the Dearborn Symphony, the Battle Creek Symphony, the Macomb Symphony, the Plymouth Symphony, the Westmoreland Symphony, the Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony, the Redford Symphony, the Saginaw Choral Society, the Verdi Opera Theater, the Ann Arbor Cantata Singers, the Comic Opera Guild, Friends of the Opera of Michigan and many others. She performed lead roles with the Michigan Opera Theater Outreach programs from 2003-2006. Other previous staged roles include Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Rosabella in The Most Happy Fella. Upcoming engagements include the role of Belinda in Dido and Aeneas with the Metropolitan Baroque Ensemble of Detroit another performance of Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor with Arbor Opera Theater.
