Tenor Kyle Stegall, a native of Columbia, Missouri is currently pursuing his Master of Music at the University of Michigan studying with Freda Herseth. He has participated as a young artist with Opera in the Ozarks and with Bay Area Summer Opera Theater Institute in San Francisco. Mr. Stegall’s operatic credits include Tamino in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Little Bat in Susannah (Floyd), and Gabriel von Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus (Johann Strauss) among others. An avid concert performer, Stegall has sung as tenor soloist in many works including Messiah (Handel), Johannes Passion (Bach), and Oratorio de Noël (Saint-Saëns). Roles at the University of Michigan this past year have included Le Chevalier Danois in Armide (Glück), and Francis Flute in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten). Mr. Stegall is honored to be making his first appearance with Arbor Opera Theater.
